From a medical point of view, minero-medicinal waters provide minerals, whilst sea-water provides oligoelements.
During treatments using these waters, transmineralisation takes place, that is to say, our body absorbs the minerals or oligoelements and deposits them where they are lacking or needed. As such, rehabilitation following traumatological, respiratory and skin problems is more effective and faster than with other types of rehabilitation.
It is also worth bearing in mind that body weight is lower when submerged in water and mobility increases, plus because minero-medicinal water is rich in minerals and sea-water rich in salt, buoyancy is greater. All of which means that it is possible to do exercises that could not be done out of water due to gravity.
The water used at resort and hotel spas is water all the same, with all its relaxing and/or stimulating properties; it just depends on the moment: a shower in the morning is revitalising but a shower in the evening is relaxing? and it?s the same water!.
For all these reasons, the term Wellness or Health Tourism is highly appropriate because it really does provide a sense of health and well-being.
This is not a new idea; water has been used for treatment, health and well-being purposes since ancient times (ancient Egyptians, Romans, Arabs?).
Apart from all that, the combination of new technology with ancient wisdom means that all kinds of clients can now find their ideal treatment.
Our product is something that can be enjoyed by people of all types, because we have centres that are strongly focused on medical treatments, others that offer activities for youngsters, in other words for families, others that are exclusive and select, others that are more leisure focused? and the majority of our centres offer a variety of options.
Wellness tourism is all about sensory experiences!
